HI, I’M MELISSA FLAVIA, AKA UMAWIT

I am a cultural worker and educator who has built a career in youth development and music. I hold a Masters in Teaching, Music Education from Longy School of Music at Bard College. I started UMAWIT in 2019 as a path to remember and reclaim my voice and songs.
